An aerial view Monday 16th June 2003 of the ‘Porto Karras’ hotels complex, including the ‘Meliton’ hotel where the European Union summit will take place 19-21 of June, in Chalkidiki peninsula, some 130 km north-east of Thessaloniki. Mass protests are expected in and around Thessaloniki, Neos Marmaras and the Chalkidiki peninsula as well as in Athens and other parts of the country for the duration of the summit.
